Sacred Bee offers in-house Japanese meridian apitherapy treatments and phone consultations.

Japanese meridian apitherapy, or bee venom therapy, first emerged in China 5,000 years ago. During the Tang and Sung Dynasties there was a cultural, historical exchange between China and Japan. The Japanese practiced bee venom therapy and by the 20th century had developed this into a painless meridian apitherapy which they called Hoshindo.

In Hoshindo all medicines of the Honey Bee are used, which include venom, organic propolis, organic fresh royal jelly, raw organic honey, and pollen. Every HoShin practitioner must maintain an apiary. The HoShin Ryoho is versed in every aspect of the bees, becoming keeper and guardian of the honey bees.

What to Expect

Hoshindo is a gentle practice in which the Practitioner begins by tapping softly with the stinger of the bee along points and meridians. The Hoshindo practitioner provides the Patient with a pleasant apitherapy experience, in a calm, healing atmosphere.

Consultation

The Practitioner begins with an Akashi for each patient. This health history and assessment, along with the pulse reading, guide the treatment plan. For the initial treatment a sensitivity test to the venom is conducted at this time.

Treatment

Honey bee venom is perceived as a foreign protein in the body, alerting the immune system to target a specific area (see Benefits of Bee Medicine). The practitioner uses different delivery methods to administer the bee venom. Using the symptoms and reading of the pulses, the practitioner treats certain Meridians and Points (Tsubos) using a tapping method, setting the stinger, or full bee sting when indicated. These gentle methods are selected based on the needs of each patient.

Catch & Release Bee Venom Therapy

This Bee Venom Therapy treatment is done with the intention of maintaining the life of the bees after the delivery of bee venom. The bees are collected in the morning of the treatment from the entrance (guard bees and forager bees) of the hive and returned in the afternoon or next day to that same hive.

The Bees are handled gently and placed on a specific point chosen by the practitioner. When the bee has delivered the amount of venom needed, the stinger is then lifted up out of the skin with fine tweezers, as the bee is lifted simultaneously. The Bees are carefully placed in another box not to be used again and returned to their hive later.

During the spring, Summer and Fall months the hive will not be revisited for bee collection for 5 weeks. During the winter months a different hive is visited for bee collection throughout the winter, weather permitting. This allows for bees not to be collected for a treatment more than once.

Honey Pulling Detoxification Treatment

Through the technique of applying honey to the body and utilizing specific pulling movements, the body is purified from toxic deposits that accumulate in the body due to the environment, food, medications etc. The honey pulling technique creates a micro-pump effect on the soft tissue, which is not only detoxifying, but also cleanses your skin, relieves stress, and can calm the central nervous system.

Honey pulling also improves blood circulation in the tissue, and muscles and improves thermal regulation of the skin while boosting the immune system.

In its ideal composition honey has 85% the same structure as our blood plasma and as such, gets absorbed into the body without any residues.

Kambo Therapy

Kambo also known as Vacino-do-Sapo is a trans-dermal natural medicine that utilizes dried skin secretions from an amazonial tree frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor.) There are seven bio-active peptides that cause chemical reactions in the human body by binding to receptors in the brain. The action of the peptides on the brain receptors enable the body to fully perform functions related to the endocrine, nervous, cardiovascular, immune and gastrointestinal systems. These movements support the clearing of “Panema” which is essentially stagnation, considered the root cause of most dis-ease.
